American Psychological Association (APA) Documentation and Style

APA style is a writing format mainly used in the social and behavioral sciences with it being found in scientific journals, textbooks, and class papers. Requiring in-text citations along with an alphabetical list of references, it allows readers to briefly see the source of information while reading the work. Its emphasis on properly citing sources and selective word choice to reduce bias make it the preferred format for science- based papers.
